“The best alternative to Evernote. The only down side is it took a few days to figure out how to sync to Google Calender. All the list and videos forget to mention to add tags. I added all my tags and now I can add a task date to a note and it is on Google Calender. Nice to be able to change it on Calender and it changes on note. Very fast updating notes. If you don't want to pay the expensive Evernote, definitely try this app.”

“I came to this app straight from the most convoluted of all Notion setups. I had reminders for different subjects in (don’t judge me) 3 different apps as well. My calendar was in Google calendar, having no desktop app bugged me to no end, and I was looking for an alternative for my PKM. Amplenote has replaced all of it. I won’t lie and say there’s no learning curve, but it follows the general flow of most tried and true productivity models (BASB, GTD, etc.) especially if you tweak your tag setup a bit. I know where the info I need is. I’m pushed to make more tasks and less useless note piles. It’s using literally HALF the memory on my laptop that Notion would take, not to mention no longer needing to run a separate task list at all, and the phone widget is awesome to boot. Community plugins are well made, responses to feedback and community voting boards help prioritize new features. The developers genuinely seem to care. It takes some learning up front, but not as much as you think. Give it a try. Worth the (relatively short) Learning Curve”

What I actually really like is being able to see a comprehensive list of tasks based off of different notes. So I can see, for example, my kitchen tasks alongside my plant care tasks. They develop features on an as-needed basis. That limits the bells and whistles, but not to its detriment. On mobile, it is fast, and fast matters. “I have been using 2 planners and my iPhone notes app to keep track of everything to do. I have dates and events in one note and another note of things that are current todos. Every week, I plan my week and write it in a weekly planner. Each day, I plan out my next day and time block it in a time block calendar. It works but it is a lot of effort. “I am someone who tries different apps constantly, always having some gripe with an app and needing to find something that fits my workflow better. Amplenote is something that I have tried on and off for around a year now, only recently did I fully give Amplenote Pro a shot. I take lots of notes and I have lots of events and tasks that I need to manage, and for the most part my previous apps (Apple Notes, Things3, Apple Reminders, and occasionally Obsidian) have been perfect for my use. But I found myself doing more things besides gaming on my Windows Machines and it led me to the issue of task and event management integrated with my notes. Obsidian is good but it just doesn't have that calendar or task management that works effortlessly across computers, mobile, and tablets. In comes Amplenote, has a good web app and good desktop app (paid plan currently) and has some other features that I found I prefer to have: Built-in Calendar & Drag-and-Drop Tasks Exports to Apple Calendar Postpone Task Google Sheets Embed PDF attachments can be viewed inside the note and content of the title and body of a pdf can be indexed. Youtube Embed 2FA Nested Bullet List that is foldable Drawing/Handwriting and Handwriting to Text Footnotes Outline Mode Markdown Readwise Integration Templates and much much more. Some things I listed are behind a paid subscription, but a lot of these things also come in the free tier, I highly recommend giving Amplenote a shot. A solid app with continuing potential”

My favorite feature of Amplenote is the “hide until “ feature which is actually why I found Amplenote in the first place. You can create all your lists and to dos in one place but then hide anything that isn’t needed yet. My ADHD brain is very grateful because seeing my entire list paralyzes me, but feeling like I’m forgetting something causes intense anxiety. Amplenote is the best of both worlds. “I was overwhelmed with too many projects (career, non-profit, family, home repair, etc.), and I just couldn’t keep track of it all. My todo lists had too many tasks, some from over a year ago, and for every task I had to find where I put the info/notes when it was time to work on one. Numerous apps solve the issues of mixing notes and tasks, but they were either too hard to use or only good at either tasks or notes. Amplenote is the sweet spot for me, built for thinking through hard projects and helping me figure out what I need to work on. Being a college student with 4-6 classes per quarter, being able to keep notes and one calendar makes my life so much easier. Although there is google docs, calendar, and others, nothing comes close to the features of this app. Sorting my notes has become so much easier than google drive, and allows me to easily find anything I’m looking for. The ability to incorporate my calendar into my note taking app makes life easier as opposed to constantly having to open another app. The tasks feature is also extremely helpful being able to put tasks and rank them based on things like urgency and importance. Separate from within the app, the google chrome extension is a life saver. The ability to send screenshots or highlight texts directly to your notes is convenient. The main reason I love this extension though, is that it gives you the source of what page you just screenshotted or took text down. Now, when I am skimming through mass amount of articles, I don’t have to manually cite them each time. When I go back afterwords, if I like something I found, coming back to cite it is incredibly easy. Another big thing I like is the use of plugins. While google and other services offer plugins, I have found there are many unique ones that fit my needs. Some of them are irrelevant to me, but I feel like for almost any task I am doing, I can find a plugin that makes it either easier, or less time consuming. Plugins like writing equations has saved me a lot of time in my stats class. The ability auto link note helps me save so much time when I have mass amounts of vocab words I need to go through. And it wouldn’t be a new breakthrough if it did not have AI of some kind. The ability to incorporate AI into a note app for things like summarize, revise, or answer questions is another life saver. It makes looking back on notes from a while ago easy as I can have it explain it back to me. With that being said, there is a little bit of a learning curve to get used to it. However, after about 30-40 minutes I was able to grasp almost all the topics I needed. The only one thing I would like them to add is a search feature within a note, as opposed to me going to google and then doing command F. With that being said, I believe I read the developers are currently working on that. They are always responsive and genuinely listen to what the community is asking for. I have never found an app as helpful and time saving as this one. I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for something better than the google suite.”

“I just imported a large number of notes from another app (think elephant logo) which over the years has become big and complicated with way too many features I don’t need—and has in recent months become awkward to use even though I was a paying user. Enter Amplenote: streamlined, efficient, simple and extremely useful! Importing my notes from that *other* app was quick and 98% accurate (just some formatting needed to be cleaned up—quick job). I love seeing my notes listed on the first screen and not having to click through 3 layers of menus and ads for yet more features. Editing is quick and efficient, etc. Yes, I see that Amplenote has more features which I haven’t even tried out yet, which is fine as long as they don’t make the path to those I want to use longer. Please keep the simple and quick UI!! Very happy with the app!! Thank you!”

The "pro" plan (€70/year) adds a graph viewer, a side viewer, Google Calendar integration, themes, and more. The "unlimited" plan, twice as expensive, allows you to encrypt your notes and publish them online. I wish this feature were included in the "pro" plan; it would be perfect. Amplenote is full of features, available on all platforms, and deserves to be more widely known.”

“Right off the bat you can tell Amplenote has put a lot of thought into making something like this work (the all-in-one note taking, tasks, and calendar tool). It's not easy at all and they have done it brilliantly. There's a slight learning curve to how everything works, but it guides you through very nicely. I can't state enough great of a job they did in providing you ways to get thoughts, tasks, and ideas down quickly. You can see this and more with how thought out and intentional their widgets are. They're perfect. Viewing media isn't the best if you're trying to view an image and be able to zoom in and all that within the app as it takes you to the browser, but this can certainly be improved without too much friction I would imagine. That's my biggest con I can think of at the moment. I'm pretty blown away otherwise. Note taking is great, tasks are amazing, and add in the ability to time block those tasks on a built in calendar and you have yourself a winner. Cheers!!”

“Normally when working with Notes apps there is always something not quite right, it is either ways too complex to set up correctly e.g. Tana, Mem or it’s focus is on functionality I don’t need e.g. RemNote, Roam Research or it leaves me with file management tasks e.g. Obsidian.
