I started using Amplenote because I needed a place where my notes, my tasks, and my long-term learning could live in the same room. Every other app I tried split those worlds up — Obsidian was great for notes but blind to my daily schedule, Todoist was great for tasks but had nowhere for the ideas that produced them. Amplenote was the first one that treated thinking and doing as the same activity. I'd recommend it to anyone who thinks of themselves as a writer, a learner, or a builder, and especially to anyone who is more than one of those things.

I create plugins for software to fill voids in my own desired workflow... If I need it, I just make it if it doesn't exist in the form I want. Now I'm doing the same for Amplenote with the hope that I can find a place where my workflows can exist in the deeply personalized way I need them to, and I can stop looking for solutions to patch the holes that inevitably spring leaks in other software solutions that I have used.
