For me at least there's a few key pieces of information I like to know about my task summary that currently mean I have to open the detail view to confirm. Having these in the form of icons etc. on the inline view would make life so much easier:
Repeat/scheduled task - A simple icon to say the task is scheduled etc. means I can click 'done' with confidence that it will return to fight again without worrying it will disappear forever (or having to open the detail screen)
Blocker - Is this task a blocker, really really useful to know sometimes.
Reminder - I played with reminders for a while but at the moment I'm reminderless. When I had them on, knowing the task had a reminder set was really useful (without opening the details)
Icons for these sorts of things would be informative and keep the interface clean (no need for lots of text etc.)
