The main thing to remember: this modest-looking input box actually packs all the functionality from Amplenote's usual note editing experience. So, you're not just capturing text: you're capturing text, Rich Footnotes (images/videos/etc), and any slash commands (e.g., marking the task as "Important," or setting a Deadline for it).

Select text, then paste in images or videos to help your future self when it comes time to tackle the task.

linkFinishing capture

When you've finished describing what you want to work on later, you can use Cmd-Enter (macOS) or Ctrl-Enter (PC) to save the new task to whichever note you selected.

The numbered notes that are shown at the bottom of the Global Task Capture are the latest notes that you interacted with. If you press Ctrl and the number shown next to the note, that will be the destination for your new task. Otherwise, you can press tab to move from the "text input" field to the "pick note" selector, and press "Enter" to pick which note this task reside within.
